This is such an unscientific and false analogy argument. We are not descended from chimpanzees, but we and chimpanzees have a common ancestor. You even say in your article that wolves are not the direct ancestor of dogs. This argument was sort of convincing until the end when you “resolved” your discussion by introducing your own brand of dry dog food. What a manipulative pack of lies!!! Your methods seem no more ethical than the next money hungry manufacturer. Next time, do a little research before you try to convince the general public of your argument that lacks any research or truth. Good luck, and I mean that in a most superficial and meaningless way.

Just how many dogs have you helped treat for Parvo, Campylobacter and other devastating illnesses?

If the answer is close to zero, as we suspect, then it’s you who need to do the research.

Parvo by itself is already a very nasty virus, causing many dogs to suffer and die, and if they also contract other problems, such as Campylobacter, then saving them is incredibly difficult.

We’re seeing more and more dogs developing Parvo-like symptoms, and yet it turns out not to be Parvo at all. Instead, it’s a very dangerous bacteria called Campylobacter.

And how is this bacteria spread?

For the most part, via chicken, turkey and other poultry products!

And before you ask, that does include raw chicken, fed via the raw food diet.

In spite of what BARF fanatics will say, dogs do get sick from these bacterial infections (as well as Salmonella and e.Coli), and if not treated correctly and promptly, they die - painfully.

And the problem is that, because it looks like Parvo and even tests positive for Parvo, vets are treating it as though it were Parvo – but that’s the wrong way to treat Campylobacter.

Oh, and BTW, you should check your facts before you start throwing accusations around: the link to the Drs. Foster & Smith site was a straight-through link. We are in no way associated with this company, we get no recompense for promoting their dog food – we are just satisfied customers who believe it to be one of the best dog foods you can buy.

But, now that you point it out, we have updated the link, as we’ve changed dog foods recently, and this now is an affiliate link – we’ve done our research, and if we can get some return on the time we have spent to help other dog owners make a better informed choice, then why not? Most normal people don’t begrudge this, and it costs them no more to buy the products anyway.

So, thank you for your comments, and we mean that in the most superficial and meaningless way.
